Frequently Asked Questions

How do I select a professional lawn care company?

Not all lawn care companies are created equal. The company that can answer your questions, provide great service and explain a course of action would be the company to consider for your lawn care needs.

When is the best time to seed?

Fall is nature's best time to seed. Spring seeding can be performed but more complications can occur.

How high should I cut my grass?

Never remove more than 1/3 of the grass blade at one time. For best results always mow on the highest setting and keep those blades sharp!

Will grub control get rid of my mole problem?

NO! Moles will feed on grubs if they are present, however, their main diet is the earthworm. The University of Illinois recommends steel traps as the most effective way to rid your lawn of moles.

When is the best time to aerate?

Core aeration can be performed in the spring or fall. There needs to be adequate moisture present in order to pull an acceptable size plug of soil and thatch.

When is the best time to control dandelions?

Dandelions are controlled with a post emergent broadleaf weed control, meaning, the weed must be present in order to control. They can be managed as soon as they begin to emerge in the spring, and throughout the growing season, however, the best time to control them is in the fall.
